Karen Wetherley-Moody - Trustee and Chairperson
Karen has lived in East Sussex for 30 years. A retired nurse, she works in Rye, and also runs a local B&B, and is a volunteer for The Sarah Lee Trust. She is a friend of Sarah and Richard and became involved in the Trust as a volunteer, then Secretary and now Chairperson. Karen organises the upkeep and cleaning of the caravans, arranges the bookings for the caravans & hosts meetings and works tirelessly for the Trust.
Sarah Curd - Trustee and Co Founder
Sarah set up The Oliver Curd Trust in 2008 along with husband Richard in memory of their dear son Oliver. She worked at Nationwide Building Society, Rye for 16 years and more recently decided on a career change and has recently qualified from Canterbury Christ Church University with a BSc degree as an adult nurse. Sarah is currently working as an Inflammatory Bowel Disease specialist nurse based at Eats Sussex. Healthcare Trust. Sarah helps to organise and participates in the events the Trust lays on including the Hastings Half Marathon (if you are interested to run please contact us) and cleans the caravans as needed.
John Barnett - Trustee and Treasurer
John has been a trustee and the Treasurer for OCT since 2009. He is an auditor by trade and works in London in the local government sector. John looks after the finances of the Trust - making sure we have funds to support the caravans and reports to the Trustees on the current financial situations at the Trustee Meetings. He also cleans the caravans as needed and helps at running events

Sue Gammon - Trustee
Sue has lived and worked in Rye for many years and was involved as a volunteer before becoming a Trustee. Sue organises fund raising events and helps ensure the caravans are fully equipped and regularly cleans the caravans when needed. Sue has a grandson with special needs - ‘being a local charity it is very special to me’.
Sandra Sarkies - Trustee
Sandra has been a primary school teacher for many years and taught Oliver, hence becoming involved in the Trust. Sandra organises fund raising events and arranges the collection of the Trusts donation boxes and regularly cleans the caravans. ‘The Trust is a very important part of my life’.
The Trustees meet regularly to ensure the smooth running of the Trust. They also arrange and attend events.
